Ok, so why is this site here?

It seems like forever ago that Greg "BuddyBear" launched Bear411. Back in those days, it was a welcome resource - there were very few places for bears to meet each other on the internet and the site provided a great online gathering place. In those days, the needs of the standard internet user were simple: a simple search, a simple messaging system, a simple way to read profiles and look at woofy guys.

But apparently, many issues loomed under the surface. Things were going on behind the scenes that no one expected - things which, when they came to light, were fairly shocking.

Take a look at the picture to the right. That's the owner of Bear411. Look into his eyes, you are looking into the eyes of someone who has been discriminating, censoring, and lying for well over a decade.

On this site, we will endeavor to back up that claim through stories, testimonies, research, and logic.

Now look at the disclaimer at the top of this page. That is in place because there is no doubt in the mind of this site's creator that "BuddyBear" will do what he can, upon discovery of this site, to destroy it as he did to Bear411Sucks.com.

So look around, find out what you can, spread the word, and if you have a story please do not hesitate to contact us!

So what can you do?

Bear411 will never again be a decent and useful site, if BuddyBear is never made aware that Bear411 is a shithole. It isn't enough to just stop logging in - you must be belligerent so you will be deleted. The point must be made, and the more people who let BuddyBear know exactly what he can do with his little dictatorship, the more likely he is to one day fix it.

If you've already quit Bear411, then spread the word - let others know they don't have to put up with it! There are plenty of alternatives (and all are either free or very low cost):

I guarantee that there are several I missed, and let's not forget to mention smartphone apps like Growlr, u4Bear and Scruff. So you see, there is no reason to stay tethered to the most useless (and most expensive) bear social site!
